Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Improvista is operated by ntrada, which is responsible for how your personal data is used. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@improvista.io.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we store your name, email address, password authentication information, acceptance of our terms, and marketing preferences. We use this information to provide your account and let you publish and manage content. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing.

We also store your IP address and browser information with your sign-in session so we can recognise and manage that session.

If you sign up for marketing emails, we record your email address, any city you provide, what you agreed to, and when you confirmed your subscription.

Event signups and invitations contain the person's name, email address, and attendance status. We use these details to manage registration and send event-related messages. When you sign up through Improvista, the event organiser can see your name and attendance status, but not your email address.

What is public

Published events and groups are public. Event listings include their description, venue, date, time, price, and ticket link.

If you have a public player profile, its name, bio, city, photo, and links are also public. Email addresses are not displayed on public profiles. Our public newsletter pages show events, not subscriber details.

Improvista administrators can access account and marketing records to manage the service.

Emails and marketing

We send account and service emails, such as confirmations, password resets, and event-related messages, when needed to provide Improvista.

Marketing emails require a confirmed subscription. You can withdraw your consent at any time through your account settings or the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. We retain your email address and unsubscribe status to record your preference.

Marketing emails track opens and link clicks, linked to the recipient. Open tracking is approximate because some email apps load tracking images automatically.

Cookies and event statistics

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in. It is removed when you sign out. We do not use advertising cookies.

We count event-page views and clicks on ticket links. These totals are not linked to individual visitors. Views by the event's organiser or an administrator are excluded.

Services we use

We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers. We use service providers to operate Improvista:

  • DigitalOcean hosts the app and database in Amsterdam and provides server backups.
  • Brevo receives recipients' email addresses, greeting names, and message content to send account and marketing emails.
  • PDOK, a Dutch government service, handles Dutch address searches.
  • OpenStreetMap's public search service handles address searches outside the Netherlands.

Address searches send the text entered to the relevant service, without your Improvista account details. We save the selected address with the event. Map data attribution: © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Ticket links take you to the ticket provider chosen by the organiser. That provider's privacy policy applies to information you give it.

Why we use your information

We process account and service information to provide the features you request. Marketing emails are based on your consent. Session management supports our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure and operating the service.

How long we keep information

Account records are retained until we handle a request to delete them. Published listings remain until the organiser removes them. Marketing records, including unsubscribe preferences, are retained and are not automatically deleted.

There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for old accounts or marketing records. To request deletion, contact us.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct your personal data, request deletion, or ask us to restrict its use. Where applicable, you can also object to processing or request a portable copy of your data.

To make a request, email contact@improvista.io. Account deletion is handled by us; there is currently no delete-account button.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
